Corona: China flags set mourning, and America recorded a record high deaths

China Saturday morning set up a national mourning for the dead with the new Coronavirus, while the epidemic continues to spread around the world, and the United States is preparing for its worst stages with a record high death toll.

The day of mourning coincided with the start of the annual Qingming (Purity and Purity) celebration, in which millions of Chinese families honored their ancestors.

America is for the worse
The United States counted 1,480 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours, a new record daily globally, bringing the number of deaths to about 7,500 deaths in the country.

The number of injured people jumped to 277,000, with 32,000 new infections, including five infants, registered, and New York State is the most affected, with about a third of the number of deaths.

And hospitals in the US states that are experiencing an accelerated outbreak of the epidemic are under tremendous pressure, and with the expectation of registering more people, the authorities are working to establish field hospitals in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump's administration is taking stricter measures to ensure that medical personnel and hospitals are provided with medical materials and respirators, to counter the rapid spread of the Corona virus, which the White House has recently predicted will kill a quarter of a million Americans.

While the Mayor of New York described the situation by saying that the city was living in its darkest days, the mayor of Washington, DC, expected to record up to 93,000 HIV infections in the city.

A ray of hope in Europe
In Europe, where the epidemic has so far killed 40,000 people, three-quarters of them in Italy, Spain and France, officials speak of a "glimmer of hope" as the HIV infection rate stabilizes or slightly recedes, while overall quarantine continues.

In Italy, which has so far witnessed the death of about 15,000 people and the injury of 120,000 others, the Commissioner of Health in the Lombardy region (in the north of the country) - who is the epicenter of the epidemic there - pointed to the decrease in the number of injured in the region's hospitals, which was confirmed by a nurse in the city of Cremona Hospital, saying "We started to see light at the end of the tunnel."

Italy has been experiencing a slowdown in the rate of corona virus a week ago, an increase of no more than 4% per day.

In Spain, despite recording more than 900 deaths for the second day in a row, which raised the death toll to more than 11,000, the authorities are optimistic that the infection rate with the virus will slow.

In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the latest figures recorded in the country are optimistic, but cautiously.

Arab world
In Egypt, director of the National Cancer Institute of Cairo University, Dr. Reem Emad, said that a number of infections among doctors and nurses with the Corona virus have been discovered.

She noted that the total number of injured is 15 medical staff, 12 of whom are nurses and three doctors. She stressed that there are no injuries among the patients booked in the different departments of the Institute, and that the procedures for sterilizing the building will be completed today, Saturday.

Yesterday, Friday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 8 new deaths in Corona in the country, bringing the total number to 66, as well as 120 new injuries, bringing the total to 985.

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 154 new infections, bringing the total number to more than two thousand injuries. The ministry spokesman attributed the high number of injuries to examining hundreds of violators of residency regulations in the Kingdom.
