Writer Catherine Potts says 181 countries in the world have reported at least one out of 200 countries, according to data monitored by the US Central Johns Hopkins University.

In an article published by the American diplomat magazine, the author points out that the epidemic that occurred in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019 spread throughout the world at an alarming rate, reaching 1 million cases as of April 2.

The author adds that the virus has become almost everywhere in the world, asking: What can we do about countries that have not reported cases?

She goes on to ask: Are these countries unable to take the test to detect the virus? Or are they lying, or are they isolated countries?

The Pacific Ocean
The largest part of the countries that have not yet reported cases are the small Pacific Island countries, followed by a number of countries in Asia and Africa.

She adds that it seems that Pacific Island countries have largely escaped the spread of the virus so far, but regional governments have not been satisfied with themselves. In late January, the Federated States of Micronesia declared a public health emergency, and on 14 March last Strict border control measures have been enacted, including a ban on entry for travelers from countries with HIV infections, and a ban on citizens from traveling to countries where cases have been recorded, with the exception of Guam and Hawaii.

General emergency
The largest country in the ocean that did not have any confirmed case of Covid-19 is the Solomon Islands, and the government of the country with a population of more than 600 thousand people did not remain idle.

It announced a general emergency in the country on March 25, and Honiara was sending samples to Australia for testing, and the result of ten tests so far has been negative, while three other cases are still pending confirmation.

The article adds that Papua New Guinea and Fiji are the two countries that have local test capabilities so far, and it is not surprising that the first identified one injury, and the second identified seven injuries so far.

Guam recorded 82 injuries as of Thursday, without counting the increasing number of casualties on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier at the mouth of the port of Abra.

None of the Vanuatu Islands, Samoa, Kiribati, Micronesia, Tonga, Marshall Palau and Tuvalu have reported cases of the virus, although many have restricted travel and taken other steps to prevent the virus from spreading or spreading.

Protective steps
The article adds that North Korea has not reported any injuries, and that the isolated country has already taken preventive steps early, closed its border with China last January, and denied all foreign travelers entry, but observers question North Korea's claim that there are no Have an injury.

Elsewhere in Asia, there are similar reasons to suspect countries' claim that they have no injuries. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan confirm that there is no injury to any of them, and that may be true.

The author adds that the Pacific region has benefited from some sort of isolation and early efforts to avoid what could be a complete disaster.

Tajikistan should be deeply concerned about the first cases that were recorded in neighboring Kyrgyzstan in the middle of last month, the country that imposed closures, encouraged social exclusion, imposed curfews and actively conducted tests, while Tajikistan's leadership was less robust with these prevention and mitigation measures.
