The Announcement states that the import of pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea, directly or indirectly, is prohibited. It is forbidden to send or carry pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea into the country. Once found, they will be returned or destroyed.

On April 1, the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) notified that there were 4 cases of African swine fever in Papua New Guinea's Southern Highlands, involving 700 domestic pigs of susceptible animals, of which 500 were ill, 396 died, Kill 1 head. This is the first African swine fever outbreak in the country.

The Announcement states that the import of pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea, directly or indirectly, is prohibited. It is forbidden to send or carry pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea into the country. Once found, they will be returned or destroyed.

According to the "Announcement", any inbound vessels, aircraft, road vehicles, railway trains, and other transportation vehicles that have found pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea will be sealed and stored during their stay or operation in China. Without the permission of the customs, it may not be opened for use. All wastes and decanted water are treated harmlessly under the supervision of the customs and must not be discarded without authorization.

The "Announcement" clearly states that all illegally imported pigs, wild boars and their products from Papua New Guinea that were intercepted by the border control department will be destroyed under the supervision of the customs.
