On Monday, SVT Nyheter Halland reported on how people in risk groups, despite the risk of infection, are still allowed to cohabit in Hallandstrafiken's transport service cars.

Pensioner Marianne from Halmstad is one of those who avoids using the travel service for fear of being infected by fellow travelers. She criticized the fact that Hallandstrafiken did not choose to separate customers so that they could go in each car.

But now Hallandstrafiken has reassessed the situation. In a newsletter, they write that new routines will be introduced from Monday 6 April. The reason is the spread of the coronavirus and the recommendations of the Public Health Authority and the protection against infection within Region Halland.

Solo travel should be introduced gradually for sick travel and travel services. This means that only one customer and the driver are in the car at the same time.

The new routines do not affect Hallandstrafiken's travel journeys, school trips, study trips or call-controlled scheduled services.
