The region is rejoicing - fewer people are sick than cared for

The staff department at Region Östergötland is pleased that not so many health care workers have fallen ill

- Of course I'm happy. We had estimated that 40-50 percent of the healthcare staff would be sick or nursing sick children this week. Even though things look different between the workplaces, the absence is on average about 13-17 percent, says Zilla Jonsson, HR Director of Region Östergötland.

The HR manager commends the efforts of the employees and their way of protecting themselves during the pandemic.

- The care staff does a fantastic job. Above all, they have shown how to act in order not to get sick by protecting themselves. The staff struggles for many hours in the harsh climate that prevails, but despite this many show a good mood in the workplaces, says HR Director Zilla Jonsson.
