“The eighth IL-76 aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces flew from the airfield of Chkalovsky (Moscow Region) to the Republic of Serbia to assist in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection,” TASS reports.
Earlier, the Russian embassy said that on April 3-4, it is planned to carry out 11 flights that will deliver humanitarian aid to Serbia to fight the coronavirus.
On March 26, Serbia asked Russia to help in the fight against COVID-19. On April 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of an aviation group to deliver assistance to Serbia.
