According to the judgment, the safe must have contained around SEK 339,000. The two men who loaded the cupboard in a van were found by police and arrested nearby.
The convicted man has admitted that he and the other person took the cupboard from the restaurant at night, but claims it was not planned. He also says that they did not break into the restaurant. The district court points to the fact that broken iron was found on the man at the arrest.
The man, who is detained in another case, has previously appeared under 17 sections of the load register and was most recently convicted of theft and attempted drug theft.
