“The court granted the request of the investigation and chose a preventive measure to Alexander Krakovsky in the form of detention until June 1,” RIA Novosti quoted the court press secretary as Irina Morozova.
Earlier, two other persons involved in the case were arrested - Interior Minister General Alexander Biryukov and investigator for particularly important cases Alexander Bryantsev.
The Investigative Committee charged them with abuse of power, which entailed serious consequences.
According to investigators, the defendants assisted in transferring businessman Albert Khudoyan from jail to house arrest.
