The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, today left his confinement in the La Moncloa complex, where he lives and works, to visit this morning the facilities of a company in Móstoles, Hersill, which has reoriented its production to the manufacture of respirators for the hospitals. An exit in the midst of the state of alarm, with which Sánchez recovers a certain normality in his public agenda, despite the restrictions on mobility, and which has shown the chief executive with gloves and a mask in an unpublished image.

Waiting for the weekend to announce a new extension of the confinement since the Government, according to sources consulted by this newspaper, is inclined to continue with the limits on freedom of movement for 15 more days, the head of the Executive, in a few brief statements, has transmitted a "message of strength, of determination" because "united, I am convinced that we are saving lives."

His statements occur when Spain already adds 10,935 deaths, with a new peak yesterday of 932 victims and 117,710 confirmed infections. Even so, the Government estimates that the number of cases is stabilizing, transmission is being controlled, and little by little the objective of not saturating the ICUs is being achieved.

In this context, the president has defended that the measures are serving to save lives despite "the hard data." "Together we are going to beat the virus," he assured. For this reason, he repeated, "a message of determination and strength because we are going to achieve it all together."

With this departure, the president skips the seclusion, a circumstance for which the director of the Center for Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, asked today at the so-called press conference of the technicians this morning, who did not want to go deeper into whether This activity was essential or not, but it has highlighted that the work of this company must be valued.
