"You'll all die, I have the Covid!" Launched this detainee to the supervisors on whom he had just spit. The 30-year-old, on day parole at Chambéry remand center, was sentenced to an additional eight months in prison by the criminal court, AFP learned Friday from judicial sources. The man, who has been incarcerated for several years and who is due to be released from prison in about a year, was this time prosecuted for "willful violence without incapacity on prison officials" and appeared on Thursday.

He was on day parole and was entitled to two brief outings a week for shopping. But at the beginning of the week, he did not appreciate the holding of a meeting recalling the rules of social distancing imposed also in detention during the Covid-19 epidemic. Psychotic, borderline, he got carried away. The supervisors had therefore decided to remove his authorized exits. There, threatening, he threw prison staff, while spitting and threatening them. He also degraded his cell by flooding it.
