Baltasar Garzón was discharged last night at the Ruber Clinic , where he was admitted for a coronavirus on March 24. The magistrate must now remain completely isolated for two weeks after having overcome bilateral Covid-19 pneumonia, according to his clinical diagnoses.

Garzón, who entered the clinic after several days with high fever and respiratory failure, has released a statement in which he especially thanks the health personnel who are treating all those infected.

"I have not been able to see their faces or say goodbye with a hug," says the current head of the Ilocad law firm and former head of the Court of Instruction number 5 of the National Court.

"I have only been able to see his eyes behind the glasses and isolation masks but in all of them I have seen clean looks of vocation, self-denial, sacrifice, harmony and dedication to others," he says. "I will always be indebted to all of you."
