8 out of 15 municipalities in Västerbotten have responded to SVT's survey. Seven of these assess the availability of protective clothing to the care staff as poor or very poor.

Robertsfors has not been able to respond to the questionnaire, but shares the picture that there is poor access to protective clothing in the current extreme situation with the coronas center.

"Orders canceled"

"The supply is poor if we look at it from a long-term perspective, but for a few days we can manage," says Jonas Nilsson, social manager at Robertsfors.

Many municipalities have ordered protective equipment such as mouthguards and visors, but the deliveries are still missing so far. One explanation may be that the National Board of Health is prioritizing deliveries to health care at present.

- We have had orders canceled and now it says that the order is being processed, but we have no date for delivery, says Jonas Nilsson.

opportunistic Companies

Malå municipality is in the same situation as many other municipalities. John Olsson is head of care and he testifies to a situation where opportunistic companies contact the municipality. Companies with high prices, long delivery times and some require advance payment.

- I think that at national level, you have to review this with purchases now. Especially now when so many, both serious and unscrupulous, have popped up and are trying to earn a living on the emerging situation, says John Olsson, Care Manager in Malå.
