The students of Terminale in the general, technological and professional bac will be evaluated this year only via continuous monitoring, due to the epidemic of coronavirus, declared this Friday the Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer.

Only the oral French is maintained for the students of Première, he specified during a press conference. BEP, CAP and BTS students will also be assessed via continuous assessment. This is a historic decision in France since the baccalaureate, a national diploma attesting to the end of secondary studies, has existed since 1808, with a first written test appeared in 1830, and constitutes a symbolic moment in the life of French pupils.

No stress before the written exams this year, therefore. It is the " simplest, safest and fairest solution in the difficult times we live in, " added the Minister of Education, assuring that the objective was to ensure that none of the 2.1 million candidates will not be harmed.
