Stade Toulousain president Didier Lacroix believes that the cancellation of the Top 14 is a situation that can be imagined because "the solution to replay" all matches "is shrinking day by day", in an interview published on Friday on the site internet from the Midi Dispatch.

"The more the days go on, the more the hypothesis of competing for the whole competition fades away. At the first confinement, we could believe it. With the second, it becomes complicated. If there is a third or a fourth, that would call into question the entirety of these matches ", considers the president of the Stadium, questioned on a possible resumption of the Top 14.

"I do not think there is an immediate place for the cancellation of the competitions but it is a situation that one must imagine," added the President of Toulouse.

"I am not a fan of games of chance. Obviously I would like to start again but what objective data do we have on confinement? How much time will we have left to organize matches? And above all, the players are not machines with a + on + and + off + button ". They need preparation before they can replay, "insists Mr. Lacroix.

Stade Toulousain occupied 7th place in the Top 14 before the championship stopped on March 13. He also qualified for a quarter-final of the European Cup against the Irish province of Ulster, scheduled for April 5 at Stade Ernest Wallon.
