Three students in the eleventh grade in the Applied Technology Secondary School of the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training - Ajman Branch completed a project for remote monitoring of epilepsy patients, all the time and anywhere, ensuring the provision of medical services to them as quickly as possible, to preserve their lives, Especially if they are not accompanied by anyone when the seizure occurs. The students, Lyn Ibrahim, Hind Ali Al-Mahri and Afra Rashid, told «Emirates Today»: “We called the project the name (epileptic seizure control), which achieves the greatest degree of safety for their epilepsy patients, and the project consists of an (RNS) device that responds to the nerves of the brain, It is connected to a smart mobile application. ”

The students explained that the device (RNS) is fixed in the patient's skull through surgery, and in the event that the patient has a seizure, the device gives signals to any of the patient's relatives, his doctor or the hospital, via a smart application, and determines the location of the patient, and then facilitates his rescue , And his ministry in the shortest possible time. They pointed out that they had accomplished this project within four months since the beginning of the current school year, and participated in it in the National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation, which was recently organized by the Ministry of Education in "Festival Arena - Dubai".
