A painful human experience led the citizen, Tariq Abdul Karim Salman, to use his life to volunteer to save the lives of people, and to participate in responding to the crises that the state could go through.

Abdul Karim lost his two children at a young age due to a genetic disease, and he was unable to save their lives, so he decided to be a volunteer paramedic, and he got a specialized course in emergency medicine, in addition to other courses that enable him to face crises.

Abdul Karim works as a volunteer within the Corona Virus Response Team in the Emirate of Sharjah, and his mission is to direct the necessary assistance to doctors and patients, in addition to his work as a communications engineer in Dubai Police.

"I was exposed to tragic events that left a lot of sorrow for my small family, which is the death of two of my children with a rare disease without being able to help them, which led me to study emergency medicine, through training in first aid at the Dubai Foundation for ambulance services," says Abdul Karim.

He continued: “I had two children (Youssef) and (Salma), and it was found that they are suffering from a rare genetic disease related to blood (Thalassemia), and after my daughter reached five years, I was surprised by a call from my wife telling me that (Salma) is experiencing severe bleeding, and after I arrived at the house I found her Drenched in her blood, and despite my attempts to save her life, death was a precedent, and the same story was repeated with my son (Youssef) ». He continued, "I decided to join training courses in (Dubai Ambulance) to volunteer in the service of patients and the injured, and those who need first aid in emergency cases."

He added: "I advise everyone from different groups of society to attend such courses, because they are of benefit to humanity, especially because of the quality of the courses that are distinguished by the scientific material." Abdel-Karim demanded that everyone benefit from their experiences, convert them into constructive energy to serve the community, and save the lives of people, through volunteer work, especially that a large group of society may need volunteers at any time, as well as using these skills to help the state agencies in times of crisis and disaster, Like the Corona virus crisis that the country and the world are currently experiencing.
