It is not only in Sweden that healthcare personnel testify to lack of protective material. In Prague, a group of researchers and students have developed an inexpensive solution, which it is hoped will facilitate the situation in healthcare.

Ordinary snorkel masks, for a few hundred kronor, are provided with particle filters. Already 2,000 have been sent to care, and 10,000 more are on the way.

- The staff is very pleased, and says that the masks allow them to breathe easily while they work. The mask can be washed afterwards and used several times, says Pavlina Dankova, spokesperson at Motol's hospital in Prague.

The effect of the rebuilt snorkel masks has been tested, and they have been classified with the highest level, FFP3.

Even in Spain, similar solutions are now being tested in healthcare.
