The corresponding decree on measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in connection with the spread of COVID-19 was published by the Kremlin press service.
“Establish a special procedure for the movement of persons and vehicles on the relevant territory, with the exception of vehicles engaged in inter-regional transportation,” the document says.
Based on the sanitary-epidemiological situation and distribution peculiarities of COVID-19, the highest regional officials were instructed to “ensure the development and implementation of a set of restrictive and other measures”.
Earlier, the president turned to the Russians in connection with the spread of coronavirus.
The head of state announced the extension of the day off until April 30, and also noted that the severity of restrictions in the regions should depend on the epidemiological situation.
According to Putin, the regional leaders will be given additional powers, they will have to determine a set of specific measures.
