Start the clip above to hear Erika Hallenbo tell about the knife murder outside the school in Kortedala.

In the schoolyard, the flag is waving on a half-bar. Just outside the area, in a parking lot, a 12-year-old boy was stabbed in the throat three days ago. Yesterday, police announced that his life could not be saved.

- I think everyone is affected, more or less, by such an incredibly tragic event, says Erika Hallenbo.

Increased attendance for mourners and those affected

The police are now cooperating with the district and the school in their crisis management. They also work in creating security in the area, to be there for people who want to talk.

- It can be about helping people refer people further, so that they get help in the right way. Sometimes it is enough to just listen, and some want to give information about what has happened, says Erika Hallenbo.

Suspected boy is not a criminal

Police arrested a boy a few hours after the attack. He is now suspected of murder, but will not be prosecuted or convicted, no matter what the suspicions lead to. This then even he is under 15, and thus not a criminal. The social services have been connected and a so-called LUL 31 investigation has been started.
