“You know that so far no decisions have been made on the Victory Day parade on holding events in the form in which they were planned and have long been prepared,” RIA Novosti quotes Peskov.

He said that a lot of work had been done to prepare these events.

“But the circumstances, of course, dictate their conditions to us, and they will be carefully weighed, analyzed in order to make a decision regarding May 9,” he said.

The spokesman added that “a variety of options are being discussed,” but, according to him, at the moment “no decisions have been made.”

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, commented on a number of media reports that the authorities were considering various alternative options for holding the Victory Parade in connection with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
