Earlier, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the term of arrest to four former police officers in the framework of the Golunov case until June 7.

Another person involved in the case, who admitted to falsifying evidence against a journalist, was extended the term of his house arrest.

Journalist Ivan Golunov was detained on June 6, 2019 in the center of Moscow. It was reported that during the search in his backpack they found a package with narcotic substances. According to the journalist, they planted drugs on him.

On June 11, all charges in the case of an attempted sale of drugs were dropped from Golunov due to the lack of evidence of his participation in the commission of the crime.
