Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has warned that those who violate the state's measures to contain the Corona virus will be shot at if they cause trouble, while America has seen more than a thousand deaths in Corona within a day.

Duterte said in a televised speech that it is necessary for everyone to cooperate and follow domestic quarantine procedures, while the authorities strive to slow the infection and prevent the country's fragile health system from collapsing.

The Philippines recorded 96 deaths from the Coruna virus and 2,311 confirmed infections, and after the number of infections was initially small, it is now in the hundreds per day.

"Things are getting worse ... So I again notify you of the seriousness of the problem and you have to listen ... My orders to the police and the army are that if there are disturbances ... and you have seen that your life is in danger by facing you, then kill them by shooting," Duterte said.

The Philippine president’s comments came after the media published reports of unrest and arrests yesterday, Wednesday, of residents in a poor area of ​​Manila, who were protesting against the lack of food aid provided by the government.

For his part, the commander of the national police said today that the police realize that the president is expressing his seriousness about public order, and that the forces will not fire at anyone.

In America, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he was considering a plan to stop trips to the most affected areas of the Coronavirus in the United States, as authorities struggle to contain a pandemic that is expected to kill at least 100,000 people.

"We certainly look at that, but once this step is taken, we are actually imposing restrictions on a much-needed industry," Trump said in a White House press briefing.

The move would stop air traffic at airports in New York, New Orleans and Detroit, which are badly affected by Corona.

"We are looking at the whole thing," Trump said of halting domestic flights, which have already shrunk considerably as a result of falling demand.

Trump and the doctors advising him have said that between 100,000 and 240,000 people in the United States are likely to die from Corona in the coming weeks, even if Americans adhere strictly to directions that require them to stay home throughout April.

In Russia, the Anti-Corona Operations Center announced the registration of eight new deaths from the virus. Russian President Vladimir Putin also signed a law authorizing the government to declare a state of emergency in the country.

In Italy, the Civil Protection Agency said that the number of corona deaths over the past 24 hours was 727, bringing the number of deaths to 13,155.
