- We introduced a visitor ban at the earliest of all, as well as health check and temperature taking of staff. Yet we have seen how the infection creeps in. Given the stoppage of visitors, it must come in via staff who are relatively symptom-free, says Attendos CEO Martin Tivéus to SVT.

- So we plan to see all staff as potential contaminants, regardless of symptoms. Thus, we need protective materials to a completely different extent.

Attendo states that the availability of protective equipment today is strained but under control, but that the need will now grow tremendously.

10 million kits

- We estimate the need for care in Sweden to be around 10 million protective kits per week throughout the country, with gloves, mouth guards and so on.

Martin Tivéus states that he presented his fears to both the National Board of Social Services and the Public Health Authority but so far without hearing. He wants to see new guidelines from the Public Health Authority, and also an opportunity for sampling in the elderly care.
