The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment decided to allow hunting and marketing of Arab poetry and net fish as of next Sunday morning, corresponding to April 5, as the ministry sent text messages to fishermen and heads of fishermen societies informing them to allow poetic and net Arab fishing.


The president of Umm Al Quwain Association for Fishermen, Jassem Ghanem, told "Emirates Today" that the decision aims to compensate the fishermen for the period of weather fluctuations and stop the fishing movement during the last period, in addition to providing fish in the markets and helping the fishermen to take advantage of the decision and poetic and Arab fishing to help them in Increase financial income.


He added that the decision will lead to a decrease in fish prices and an increase in the demand for capillary and net fish, which is considered one of the favorite fish for citizens and residents in the country. It will also lead to the recovery of fish markets and home delivery services.


The Ministry had issued a decision prohibiting the fishing and marketing of Arab poetic and pure fish in fish markets and stores in the country, whether the species is local or imported, during the stipulated period (1 March to 30 April), in addition to preventing the import and re-export of Arab net and poetic fish, whether they are Fresh, frozen, salted, smoked, canned, or in any other form.
