The coronavirus has claimed the first victim among the active personnel of the National Police Force . This is a veteran agent who has been part of the riot units for five years and who had just joined his new destination, at the Girona airport .
José Luis Gómez was 60 years old and had been admitted for several days. This officer was assigned to the IPU for more than 20 years, in Barcelona in the Police Intervention Unit .
