On April 1, 2020, the Xiong'an New District ushered in the third spring. The deepest impression is "blue" and "green".

Known as the "Pearl of North China", Baiyangdian Lake is the largest freshwater lake and wetland ecosystem in the North China Plain. Baiyangdian's comprehensive management is also one of the priorities of the Xiong'an New Area. According to the plan, the future "blue-green space" of the new area will account for 70%.

However, a few years ago, the water quality in Baiyangdian was not optimistic.

"Before the establishment of the new district, the water in Diandian was colored soy sauce for a few years," said Zhao Aile, secretary of the Party Branch of Dadiantou Village in Anxin County.

Dadiantou Village, Anxin County, is a typical pure water village located on the bank of Baiyangdian Lake. Zhao Aile stated that in the past, the domestic sewage in the water district village was directly discharged into Dianbo. In addition, in order to save environmental protection costs, some factories directly discharged untreated domestic sewage into the Dian district, causing continuous deterioration of water quality.

According to Zhao Aile, after the establishment of Xiong'an New District, it actively promoted the advanced integrated system treatment project for environmental problems such as rural sewage, garbage, and public toilets in 78 villages in Dian District. Dadiantou Village has also built 2 new sewage treatment stations. Up to 180 tons.

"Now the sewage from more than 900 households in the village will be discharged to the Dian District after purification treatment, and the treated water quality can reach Class IV." Zhao Aile said.

At the same time, Dadiantou Village, through the government's purchase of services, arranged eight cleaners to take care of the entire village's garbage cleanup and centralized transportation to nearby power plants for waste utilization to achieve Nissan and Clearance.

At the construction site of the Tanghe Rudiankou Wetland Ecological Protection Project, workers are busy planting aquatic plants and land landscape plants.

According to Yang Fang, the deputy chief engineer of the project, the project covers an area of about 470 hectares, and will connect the main rivers such as the Tang River to Baiyangdian and restore the ecological texture of Baiyangdian. At the same time, it plans to plant 21,472 trees of 11 species of shrubs, 947,812 square meters of 6 aquatic plants, and 433,071 square meters of patchwork grassland. "The project area will be built into a low-impact, near-natural, sustainable wetland ecosystem through returning farmland to wetland." Restore the demonstration area. "

In Anxin County, Xiong'an New District, since March 15, all 705 cruise ships in the scenic area have been upgraded and transformed. They were collectively acquired by Beijing Public Transport Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. and replaced with gas-fired environmental protection vessels. Zhang Wei, deputy director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Anxin County, said that the levy of ships is conducive to improving the water quality of Baiyangdian Lake and can effectively improve the tourism order. In the future, Baiyangdian Scenic Area will welcome tourists with a more beautiful appearance.

According to data from the Ecological and Environmental Bureau of Xiong'an New District, Hebei, the water quality of the cross section of Baiyangdian Lake in 2019 is Class IV. Compared with the same period of 2014-2018, the main indicators of chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus concentration have reached historical low levels.

At present, the "Millennium Show Forest" in Xiong'an New Area has planted 310,000 acres, 200 species of trees, and 14 million trees. This year, the Xiong'an New Area will continue to plant 100,000 acres of trees, and a blue-green "Xiong New Area Picture" is slowly spreading out.

From the early days of the establishment of the Xiong'an New District, Yang Fang, who has been involved in local greening and participated in the construction of the "Millennium Show Forest" project, said that in the past three years, he has witnessed the growing area of forestation in the New District, and it is clear that the sky here is bluer. There are more and more rare birds. "In the future, this place will become a scenery of the lotus pond reed sea and bird paradise." (End)
