The Qatari Foreign Ministry denounced the accusations of Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar Al-Iryani of supporting the Houthi group politically and medialy.

"The far and near know who are the parties to the conflict in Yemen, and they are the parties that continue to stoke the human tragedy of the brotherly Yemeni people," the ministry said in a statement.

The Qatari-Iranian statement called for "directing its media energies to invite the regional powers involved in this war to uphold the interest of the Yemeni people and stop this conflict that has become absurd, by seriously engaging in a political path within the frameworks of international legitimacy and relevant resolutions."

The Foreign Ministry also affirmed that "the State of Qatar has the best right for the brotherly Yemeni people, and will spare no effort in supporting any regional or international endeavors to lift this cloud from the brotherly Yemen."

The Yemeni Minister of Information accused Doha of providing "political and media support and coverage" to the Houthi group, and called - in a series of tweets on Twitter - Qatar to "review its policies" and distance itself from what he called "the Yemeni blood swamp."
