The men are convicted of committing torture and rape by the plaintiff in December last year in Gällivare.

The district court states that during the rape, the two men used a sharp object which they brought into the rectum of the victim. This has caused life-threatening injuries through acute blood poisoning and ulcer injuries in the rectum and bladder.

Kofot as a weapon

In the case of the abuse, which the court considers to be extremely serious, it has been proven that it has happened with a crowbar for a long time and has been serious. The abused man has not been able to account for everything that has happened and has had difficulty in some parts telling in what order things have happened.

All in all, however, the court finds that the man's story is credible.

Photographed the abuse

The two defendants are sentenced to nine years in prison each. Here, the district court reasoned that even though it is clear that the 25-year-old was most active in the abuse and rape, the 30-year-old cannot escape responsibility.

The district court believes that the 30-year-old was involved in the whole event and through his act participated in the deed. He has also, by photographing the incident, strengthened the 25-year-old and thus promoted the deed.

Therefore, he must be responsible for the deeds together with the 25-year-old as a whole and for having performed these together and in consensus.
