A total of 2,800 people work at Toyota in Mjölby. Today's layoffs affect only officials and are believed to last for two months. But the company does not exclude that the manufacturing side is also affected in the long term.

Components one worries

Those affected will work two days a week instead of five with 92.5 per cent of their salary retained. This is part of the government's support package.
