“Among new cases - 117 people aged 18 to 45 years, 87 people - from 46 to 65 years old and 34 people over 65 years old, 12 of them over 80 years old. Also coronavirus confirmed in 29 children. “Citizens must keep a distance of at least one meter to other citizens, including in public places and public transport, with the exception of the provision of services for the transport of passengers and baggage by taxi,” the document says.

The document also contains a list of people who need to be tested for coronavirus infection COVID-19. It included all Russians over 65 who turned to doctors with the symptoms of the disease and those who arrived in the Russian Federation with signs of respiratory illness.

The testing procedure also applies to people who have been in contact with infected people and health workers who are at risk of becoming infected with COVID-19.

In addition, on Wednesday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin talked about the procedure for those in quarantine. As the head of the Cabinet noted, such Russians are required to independently fill out a well-being journal and confirm their stay at home.

“With the help of telecom operators, the arrival of a new citizen in quarantine will be monitored, and in case of non-compliance with the conditions of self-isolation, the operators will transmit relevant information, including to the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” Mishustin said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council under the Government of the Russian Federation to Combat COVID- 19.

The prime minister also said that in Russia the production of test systems for detecting the virus is expanding, and the number of tests being performed is growing.

“We continue to take measures, all necessary measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, and are actively expanding, first of all, production including test systems, increasing the number of ongoing studies to detect this disease,” the head of the Cabinet noted.
