Ishin Member of the House of Representatives Takashi Tanihata Submits request for resignation due to poor physical condition April 1 17:55

Representative of the Japan Restoration Association, Member of the House of Representatives Takashi Tanihata, filed an application for resignation to the chairman of the House of Representatives, Oshima, on January 1 due to his physical condition.

According to Mr. Baba, secretary-general of the Japan Restoration Association, Mr. Takashi Tanihata, a member of the party, applied for resignation last week because of poor physical condition, and Mr. Baba submitted a request to the chairman of the Oshima House of Representatives on the 1st.

Mr. Tanihata says he has been ill and has continued his medical treatment since January last year, saying that he has lost confidence in returning to the Diet in both physical strength and energy.

Mr. Tanihata was elected to the Representative House of Representatives Kinki Block eight times, and was a Deputy Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare when he was a member of the LDP.

Mr. Tanihata's resignation is expected to be approved in the lower house plenary session soon, and if it is approved, Mr. Teruo Minobu will be elected from the list of members of the proportional representative Kinki block.
