"Serious that we have cases of covid-19"

They vary in size, it can live between 20 and 150 people at a SÄBO. The residents are usually over 65 years and up.

How will this be handled?

- There are clear routines for how we will handle suspected cases and real cases of covid-19 in the housing, says Carl Smitterberg.

Many at risk in care and care homes

According to the Public Health Authority, a review of available studies of covid-19 shows that high age is the main risk factor and that people over 70 years thus constitute the main risk group. According to government statistics, the infection has had a fatal outcome, mainly for people in the age group 80 to 90 years, followed by the age group 70 to 79 years.

- All relatives of the infected should be informed, says Carl Smitterberg.
