It is not a commission of inquiry, not yet ... Not before the end of the crisis, in several months. But rebellious France will not wait to hold the government to account. It is rather a good warm-up before the real match.

Why, for example, do we just go to visit factories that make masks ? Why don't we requisition other sites that could produce them? , questions MP Insoumis Eric Coquerel. I am not sure that the information committee will allow us to have these answers. But on the other hand, I think that it can prepare a commission of inquiry, which it will be able to go further afterwards . "

"Not a field of polemics and political politics"

The majority are worried about this offensive led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon's troops, but also by the National Gathering. " I hope that this fact-finding mission will not be a site of controversy and political politics," says Mickaël Nogal, deputy of the En Marche Republic . It is my fear when I hear, in fact, some people from rebellious France and the National Rally. In any case, we, the majority deputies, approach this mission in a spirit of responsibility, in a constructive spirit that the French expect from us. "

For Edouard Philippe, exercise is almost without danger. By interposed screen, the arrests will be complicated for the opposition. And then, the head of government can count on his ally Richard Ferrand. The President of the National Assembly and close to Emmanuel Macron, will himself lead this fact-finding mission.
