The Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah has initiated a collection of 240 thousand dirhams, by inviting its members, members and employees of its General Secretariat to participate in the initiative to facilitate distance learning.

The initiative, which was launched by the Consultative Council to support the efforts of the Sharjah Education Council, seeks to provide computers for targeted students and students, to enable them to benefit from the educational platform, launched by the Ministry of Education.

The amount allows the purchase of 132 computers, enabling male and female students to deal with the range of smart learning platforms (an integrated school complex) that provide supportive tools for teachers and students, and aim to provide students with digital skills, and enhance their qualitative learning.

Council President Ali Mhd Al Suwaidi stressed the need to support all initiatives, especially those related to education, to enable students to benefit from smart platforms and respond to distance learning.

Al-Suwaidi said, "The council is keen to see the needs of all segments of society, in this circumstance."

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Council, Hanan Rashid Al Jarwan, confirmed the purchase of computers for students from the sons and daughters of poor families.

She said that this is the Council's responsibility to society whenever necessary.
