Zijinshan Observatory: "Complex" Astrological Moon, Lyra Meteor Shower, etc. Appear in April Tianyu

China News Network, Nanjing, April 1st (Yang Yanci) On the 1st, the Zijinshan Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences released the April "astronomical theater" performance list: Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, and Venus will "closely contact" the moon in turn, staged a starry whisper. In addition, this year's "fullest full moon" and the wonderful night sky brought by the Lyra meteor shower are also worth looking forward to.

On the 3rd, the Venus Hezuo Cluster will debut. That night, the rare picture of bright Venus and the blue star-studded Pleiades group is worth watching.

Experts said that looking westward after sunset that night, the brightest star is Venus. If the atmosphere of the observation site is sufficiently transparent, you can see six small stars (may also present a hazy light) near Venus, which are the six member stars visible to the naked eye of the Pleiades cluster.

On the 8th, this year's "largest full moon" will appear in Tianyu. According to experts from the Zijinshan Observatory, at 2.08am that day, the distance of the moon's perigee was only 356,900 kilometers, at which time the apparent diameter of the moon was the largest; the roundest moment appeared at 10:35 on the same day. Because the time of this full moon is only more than 8 hours away from the time when the moon passed the perigee, it has become the "largest full moon" of the year.

As a "frequent visitor" of the Tianmu Theater recently, "Meeting in the Night Sky" will bring the curtain-show performance this year.

In the early morning of April 15, the moon will converge with Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars. These four bright celestial bodies will form a lively scene of "coming together" in the southeast sky.

Since February this year, the "party" of these four celestial bodies has become a "fixed" astronomical program every month. Until this month, Mars gradually moved away from Saturn and Jupiter. Compared to the previous two months of convergence, the viewing is slightly weaker. On the one hand, the angular distance of the four celestial bodies is not as close as before, and on the other hand, they are getting farther and farther from the Milky Way.

Venus Venus who "missed" this party will "privately meet" Moon Girl at the end of the month. On the 28th, Venus reached its maximum brightness. When Venus conjoins this month, there are many bright stars nearby, and their height will be ideal, which is very suitable for shooting.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that this month, the sky canopy will usher in a moment of "stars shining." On April 22, the meteor shower in Lyra ushered in a great deal, and there were many bright meteors and fire meteors. The moon phase on that day is conducive to the observation of meteor showers.

However, astronomers suggest that because the flow of the meteor shower in Lyra is very small, the ZHR (zenith hourly zenith flow) is only about 10 at the maximum, and it is not recommended to spend energy for observation except for high-enthusiasts. (Finish)
