The Ministry and missions have contacted the citizens of the United Arab Emirates to check on their conditions and facilitate all procedures to return them and their companions to the homeland safely, and this comes after the decision to suspend all incoming and outgoing flights in a number of countries around the world due to the spread of the epidemic of the Corona virus emerging as Covid-19.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Khaled Abdullah Belhoul said that 39 air and ground evacuations have been completed for the citizens of the country and their companions so far, as the number of evacuees reached 1743 people, while 25 evacuations are under way within the next few days.

The Undersecretary stressed the keenness and follow-up of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to complete the work progress to ensure the safety of the citizens of the country abroad and facilitate the necessary procedures to evacuate them to the Emirates, indicating that there is continuous coordination and cooperation with the National Authority for Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Management, and all relevant authorities within the state And outside it, to monitor the developments of the situation and to evacuate the citizens of the country and their companions safely and safely.

For his part, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs Dr. Khaled Al Mazrouei, on the concerted efforts between the Contact Center and the Operations Department, and the Citizen Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for their work around the clock to respond to citizens ’inquiries and coordination with the embassies and representative missions of the state abroad, which harnessed all its capabilities to secure the evacuation of citizens and their companions.
