He was in possession of a travel certificate, but the document had not been valid for two hours. A 35-year-old man was fined by municipal police for a breach of containment measures on Monday evening around 6:20 p.m. in Nantes. He was then on the course of the 50 hostages, reports the police.

A sadly banal scene if it was not the fourth time in less than a week that this man did not respect the ban on leaving the house. According to the police, he had in particular been checked and verbalized twice at Place du Commerce in the evening, last Saturday and Tuesday. This time, the man was taken into custody and was presented to a judge on Tuesday. He was summoned to court for the month of September.

Firm prison for recalcitrants

As a reminder, due to the state of health emergency in which the country finds itself, violation of the confinement rules is punished with a fine of 135 euros, 200 in the event of recidivism within fifteen days. In the case of "four violations within thirty days", the offense is "punished with a fine of 3,750 euros and a maximum of six months in prison". Convictions to this effect have already fallen.
