US President Donald Trump has vowed to defeat the emerging Corona virus, while his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has boasted of his country's health capabilities in the face of the deadly epidemic compared to other countries.

According to the latest statistics, the number of new cases of Corona virus reached 738 thousand and 546, while the number of deaths rose to about 36 thousand, which is equivalent to 4.7% of the total infections, and about 160 thousand recovered from the epidemic.

Save lives first

The US President called on his countrymen to remain calm in the face of the Corona virus, and said that the virus will be removed, and that Washington will achieve a great victory in this.

In his daily press conference on Corona, Trump stressed that the economy is second to him, and that he wants first to save lives, and that "the economy will recover quickly."

He explained that more than a million people have so far been tested for infection of the emerging coronavirus in the United States.

And the US President indicated that his country "has made a historic achievement today in the war against the Corona virus, and more than a million Americans have been tested, more than any other country so far."

The Trump administration has been criticized for the slow availability of tests, and state governors still complain of a lack of ability to do these tests.

In the same context, the US President said that "China sent us some materials and Russia sent us a plane loaded with medical equipment."

For his part, the Turkish President praised his country's ability in terms of "health workers, the level of medicines and medical equipment, and the intensive care beds." Turkey is in a good position compared to other countries.

"We can meet our needs ourselves, including medical protective masks, corona testing equipment, and immune booster medications," he added.

The Turkish President said that his government had implemented all health measures to combat Corona, which was recommended by the Scientific Council on HIV and the Ministry of Health.

"So far, we have distributed to our hospitals and the rest of our health units 24 million surgical masks, more than three million" 95 "masks, in addition to more than a million protective clothing and 181,000 protective glasses. We have the potential to raise the production of this equipment."

He pointed to the opening of new hospitals, and strengthening the capacity of existing hospitals in the face of the virus.

He stressed that Turkey will not face a problem in the provision of foodstuffs, "because we are a country that produces basic foodstuffs on its own, and we can meet our needs in this regard."

The Turkish President said that his country does not face serious problems in dealing with the Coruna virus, and that the tests that are carried out on a daily basis exceeded ten thousand.

It is noteworthy that Erdogan launched a fundraising campaign Monday to address the repercussions of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, announcing that he will donate his salary for seven months.

Turkey recorded about 11 thousand cases of Covid-19, including 168 deaths, according to an official toll released Monday.

New cases in China
For its part, the National Health Commission of China announced today, Tuesday, 48 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and one death during the past twenty-four hours.

The country's health authorities have reported that all new cases of infection are coming from abroad.

China has recorded 81,518 injuries and 3,305 deaths so far. Of the virus, 76052 patients have recovered, while 2161 patients are still under treatment.

It is noteworthy that the virus first appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan last December.
