In a month, those who have fairly or very much confidence in Stefan Löfven have rushed by 18 percentage points, from 26 percent in February, to 44 percent in March. He thus becomes the party leader with the highest confidence, a position he has not held since January 2019. In addition, those who have low confidence in the prime minister have decreased.

For the government as a whole, the group with very high confidence also increases, from 3 percent in January, to 14 percent in March.

Increases overall

At the same time, the balance measure - that is, the proportion with great confidence minus those with low confidence - increases across the law for all parliamentary parties during these times. For Moderates Ulf Kristersson, they increase with fairly or very high confidence by four percentage points, from 26 percent in February to 30 percent in March. However, he remains in fourth place. If you look at the Swedish Democrats' Jimmie Åkesson, on the other hand, you can see that the percentage who have quite or very much confidence in him has dropped from 32 percentage points to 27.

The survey was conducted on Novus' own initiative, in the Novus Sweden panel with 1355 interviews on a national representative sample aged 18 - 79 years on 28-30 March 2020.
