According to the latest assessment from the Regional Health Agency (ARS), published Sunday at 8:30 p.m., the milestone of 2,000 patients tested positive for Covid-19 has been crossed in Occitania: 2,002 cases have been identified by the organization.

In the region, 798 hospitalizations are in progress, of which 227 patients are in intensive care. According to the ARS, 325 people were able to return to their homes, and 72 died of Covid-19 in hospitals.

With 232 positive tests and 22 deaths since the start of the epidemic in hospitals, HĂ©rault is the department most affected by the coronavirus.

With 187 people tested positive and 7 deaths, Haute-Garonne comes just behind.
