Instead of a garden fair, an entire hospital was built at the Stockholm fair in Älvsjö. 600 patients with covid-19 will be accommodated here, and most of all those who do not need intensive care will be cared for here.
The most important part of the Stockholm Fair has been to get oxygen treatment in place, since in principle all patients cared for covid-19 need it. Getting such a large oxygen tank in place usually takes three to four months. The work has now been done in three days.
More than 6,500 people have reported their interest in working extra in healthcare and are now reviewing the applications. The field hospital opens during Easter week.
