Marine Le Pen (RN) deemed Monday necessary that city doctors can prescribe Chloroquine for "mild" symptoms of coronavirus to avoid saturation of hospitals and the risk of sorting patients.
"I think we should immediately give the opportunity to all the city doctors who know what they are doing and know the possible side effects of this drug, the ability to prescribe it to those who are contaminated with little symptoms serious, "said the president of the National Rally of France Info.
"If we can avoid the worsening of cases, if we can avoid even a 10% drop in serious cases, this will mean that we will not have to sort people out, that we will not will not leave on the side, without a respirator, without help, the elderly because we do not have the material means to treat them, "she argued.
"I do not understand that Professor Raoult, who indicates that chloroquine is useful from the first symptoms, precisely to avoid worsening of a certain number of cases, ends up with a response from the government which tells him: we will (l ') use for very severe cases, "she said.
French professor Didier Raoult has published studies confirming, according to him, "the effectiveness" of chloroquine, an anti-malarial, against the new coronavirus, but this assertion is disputed by many scientists.
Following the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health, the government has so far limited the use of this treatment to patients suffering from "severe forms" of the coronavirus, in hospitals, under strict supervision and following a collegial decision by the doctors.
Several clinical trials, notably at European level or under the aegis of the World Health Organization (WHO), seek to test experimental treatments.
