Residents of the republic "are instructed not to leave their places of residence, with the exception of a number of cases, for example, applying for emergency medical care, following to the nearest place of purchase of goods, work, services, the implementation of which is unlimited, and other cases indicated in this decree."
According to the document, these measures are valid until April 5, 2020.
On March 29, Moscow authorities announced that since March 30, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a home self-isolation regime has been introduced for all citizens, regardless of age. A similar decision was made in respect of the Moscow region.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin called the restrictions justified.
