  • UK "The worst is yet to come," Boris Johnson warns the British

Dominic Cummings , strategist at Boris Johnson, the architect of the Brexit victory and his recent electoral victory, has decided to quarantine after developing symptoms of coronavirus, according to the PA agency.

Cummings was last seen on Friday, rushing out of Downing Street, shortly after Boris Johnson's own "positive" in the coronavirus test was confirmed.

Government sources informed the agency that Cummings is still active and in contact with the "premier" by videoconference. His latest contribution to the coronavirus crisis has been the triple slogan that has championed the Government's campaign since the "deadlock" decreed a week ago: "Stay Home. Protect the NHS. Save lives" (Stay home, protect public health, save lives).

In addition to Johnson and Cummings, Secretary of Health Matt Hancock and Secretary of State for Scotland Alistair Jack remain in quarantine with symptoms of the coronavirus.

The epidemic has so far claimed 1,228 lives in the UK, with 19,522 confirmed cases . Epidemiologist Neil Ferguson, who contracted the disease, has told the BBC that there are beginning to be signs that the number of infections is remitting and that the number of hospital admissions has remitted in the past 24 hours.

"Prime Minister" Boris Johnson has, however, forwarded a letter to the British warning that "the worst is yet to come." NHS medical director in England Stephen Powis admitted last week that 20,000 deaths from the epidemic would be "a good result."
