The Command Center today announced eight new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia on the island, including seven overseas imports and one local case. The local case was a boy under the age of 10 (case 299). The case was the same as the family member of the 269 local case. Fever symptoms occurred on March 26. Contacts were arranged for inspection by the health unit on the 27th. The diagnosis was made today for a family group. At present, case 299 is asymptomatic, so far this group has a total of 24 contacts.
The command center said that 7 new imported cases today were 3 females and 4 males, aged 20 to 70, with entry days ranging from March 2 to 22 and onset dates ranging from March 6 to 26. ; Pre-onset cases included the United Kingdom, the United States, the Philippines, and Egypt, of which five were associated with cluster events.
