The counter-terrorism actual military exercise was conducted by China and Cambodia in a mixed marshalling and multi-arms joint operation, distinguishing between reconnaissance blockade, assault and rescue, seizure control and clearing, and gathering and turning into four stages. Throughout the exercise, the two sides cooperated closely. Wang Wentian said that it is precisely because "2020-Golden Dragon" joint training is more difficult than in the past, so its gold content is higher than in the past. This joint training will definitely leave a strong mark in the history of friendly cooperation between the two countries and the two armed forces.

Duban said that the joint training demonstrated the importance the two countries attach to the development of traditional friendship and implemented the consensus reached by the two heads of state. He said that through the joint training, the two countries have strengthened mutual exchanges, deepened the pragmatic cooperation between the two armed forces, and jointly promoted the bilateral relations to a higher level. To build a community of shared destiny between the two countries and promote the China ’s “Belt and Road” initiative and the Cambodian government ’s four-corner strategy. According to the introduction of Colonel Zhang Tiren, the leader of the Chinese guidance group, during the joint training, officers and soldiers of China and Cambodia carefully planned, cooperated closely, and trained hard. Focusing on the new features of the terrorist forces, the focus was on 10 actions, including rescue and assault, and deterrence. Organizing training has enhanced the ability to jointly cope with international security threats such as terrorism, strengthened the traditional friendship between the two armed forces, and enhanced mutual strategic trust.

It is understood that the joint training of the Chinese and Cambodian militaries, which started on March 15th, took the background of joint efforts to combat terrorism, mobilized multiple equipment, integrated air-ground cooperation, and focused on counter-terrorism in close combat. The Chinese training force is mainly composed of the elite forces of the 75th Army. There are more than 800 people from both sides participating in the training. The joint training is implemented in two phases.

According to reports, the first phase of the joint training focused on basic subjects for mixed training. The second phase focused on comprehensive counter-terrorism exercises.
