The alarm came to the rescue service at 23.40 on Saturday evening. When Christian Johansson, the interim leader, came to the site, the flames were already knocked out of the building.

- We obviously tried to stop the fire, but we realized that we will not be able to stop this, he says.

"May burn out"

Initially, the fire threatened other buildings around. The rescue service then had to focus on stopping the risk of it being spread. At 3 o'clock at night, Johansson notes that the fire is under control.

- It's still burning but now we have it in control. There is no risk of spreading. It must burn out with guarding, he says.

The roof collapsed

By then, the roof and walls of the building had collapsed. No man was in the building when it started to burn. The emergency services expect to remain on site until noon on Sunday.

According to the rescue service, the building is 350-400 square meters in size. There is both a pizzeria and a warehouse. It is unclear what caused the fire.
