They were arrested on Thursday while a police patrol was roaming the city streets to verify compliance with the containment measures. Two British homeless people, a 32-year-old woman and her 40-year-old companion were arrested in Aix-en-Provence after being spotted near a car with broken windows. Their presence and attitude immediately intrigued the police, who had just found that other vehicles had been forced or broken into.

Very quickly, the investigators made the connection with other similar acts committed in the sector with the same operating mode, in only a few days. Fifteen trailer trips for Thursday alone, reports La Provence .

The couple, drunk at the time of the facts, are also suspected of sixteen other robberies.
