"Today, I have terribly sad information to report. Among the deaths in the past 24 hours, there was a state employee (...) and a very young child," said governor JB Pritzker. at a press conference. "I know how difficult this news is to accept, especially when it comes to a very young child," he added.

The Illinois Department of Health then specified that the child was less than a year old, without specifying if he suffered from other pathologies. The United States has become this week the country of the world having recorded the greatest number of cases of contaminations with the new coronavirus. It affected nearly 120,000 people and nearly 2,000 died.
