“Together with the US Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Kelly Kraft, we are pleased to announce the transfer of 250 thousand protective masks to the United States,” the UN website said in a statement.
It is specified that the masks will be handed over to doctors in New York, who are “selflessly and relentlessly fighting” the spread of coronavirus infection.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump allowed the possibility of quarantine in New York and some other states in connection with COVID-19.
